Contains section, 'Men of the Month', which comprises brief biographical notes with accompanying portraits of notable individuals from various professions. This issue includes George Robertson 'of the bookselling and publishing firm of Angus & Robertson, Sydney', and, expatriate writer, Frederic Manning (qq.v.), who was 'paying a visit to Sydney, his native city.' According to the report Manning had been living in England since 1898.

Includes a brief report noting that there 'was a big crowd at the Prince Edward Theatre on January 15th to see the private screening of the talkie, Two Minutes' Silence, which was produced by the McDonagh Sisters at their studio in Centennial Park.' Includes section, 'Hard Lines' (by G. G.), which reports that American poet, Ogden Nash (1902-1971), 'has assembled his most notable verses in a book called Hard Lines. Noting that 'the eccentric versifier...contributes to... the New Yorker, the most amusing paper in the English language.' Includes a number of untitled extracts from Nash's poetry.
