Established in 1997 by Raechel Henderson Moon, Jackhammer was a short-lived e-zine that published science fiction, fantasy and horror short stories, articles and discussions. As one of the earliest online zines Jackhammer also explored new publishing concepts. In addition to allowing readers the opportunity to comment on and vote on the stories, the theme of each edition was based on a "Question of the Week." The zine is believed to have folded in 2000 or 2001.
