The story of the Aborigines' courageous fight for justice began in 1788, when the British first occupied Aboriginal land. It tells how Aborigines held on to their identity and to their traditional responsibility for their lands. Here are the stories of just a handful of the men and women who were proudly Aboriginal, and whose lives show how Aborigines have fought for their lands and for justice over the past two hundred years. – Introduction
