Notes

  • Reed (1966) lists this work as one of Kendall's unpublished juvenile poems, which he speculates might have been composed in 1859-1860. The poems are from a MS. once in the possession of Kendall's early mentor, J. Sheridan Moore, (q.v.). Note that this is not the same work as Kendall's poem 'Passing Away', which was published in the Australasian in September 1868, etc.
