A column canvassing current literary news including a comment on A Case for Literature, a report from University of Western Sydney researchers for the Literature Board of the Australia Council on grants provided to Australian publishers. Susan Wyndham also notes Christos Tsiolkas's shortlisting in the 2010 Galaxy National Awards in the UK and the decision by Ivor Indyk to cease publication of Heat as a print magazine. Indyk will consider the journal's future - possibly as an online publication.
