AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A car pulls into a service station and two young men get out. Minutes later shots are fired and out stumbles Daniel. It's his 21st birthday and something has gone horribly wrong. He stumbles into the darkness and returns home to his mother who has been waiting for him, balloons at the gate, cake on the table. Later there is a knock at the door. It's the police and what they have to say doesn't make sense. When the mother returns to speak to Daniel she finds him gone.

Notes

  • Daniel's 21st is part of the 'Three Dreams' trilogy. The other stories are Angel and Dare to Dream.
