  • Editor's note: Some prospectors recently met a man on Whitelaw's track, between the Mitchell and the Dargo, who enquired of them how far it was to 'Out Back'. He said he had started from Melbourne after reading some verses in a weekly paper. The Bush Poet has a lot to answer for.
