Kromera's Crocodile,

short story
Kromera, the village constable, has his badge eaten by a crocodile. Next day the crocodile grabs Kromera who saves himself by wrenching out the beast's tongue. A few days later the animal is captured and Kromera proves his story by showing its tongue is missing and his badge is in its stomach.Note: Appears in 'Short Story'.
