'Cook having announced a personally conducted tour from Olympia to Australia at very reasonable rates, a large party undertook the journey. On arrival at Sydney, Sir Henry Parkes, much to Cook's disgust, took charge of a party of distinguished poets, including Shakespeare, Burns, Spenser, and Ben Jonson, and conducted them round the City.'
