It was Steve Forrest's vivid descriptions of his sheep and cattle station in the Australian outback that gave Jane Lesley' a yearning to see Blue River; that, and the fact that she had fallen in love with the gay young Australian. Steve had arrived at her cottage guesthouse in Devon to spend two weeks, and then on the night of his departure for Argentine to buy cattle, had proposed marriage and that Jane and her sister Lisa should fly out to Australia and meet him at Blue River.
