AbstractHistoryArchive Description

This is a play about being middle-age and menopausal and how this affects the modern older woman. The superwoman, the earth mother, the executive... she comes in many guises and so far has broken all the rules. But where does she go from here? Is time running out? Wrinkles, osteoporosis, hot flushes and menopause are just some of the situations faced in this sensitive, positive and very funny one-hour play. Two women go over the hill and confront excitement and the panic head on. Jude is a down-to-earth working class artist, Jill is a career woman whose husband shoots through with a younger woman. Both women discover common ground as they learn to go solo after years of catering to their families and relationships.
