Mungingee is the Aboriginal legend of the creation of constellation Pleiades, and a story of endurance and control.
Note:- Publication of story is prefaced with the following statement: 'Mr David Unaipon...is an intellectual aboriginal from South Australia. Besides writing and lecturing, he has interested himself in mechanics. He is now engaged in writing a book of the legends of the Australian aborigines. Here is one of the legends which seeks to account for the presence of the constellation known as the Pleiades.'
