AbstractHistoryArchive Description

According to Martin Flanagan, 'The story in this book is about the Rainbow Serpent, how it came to Framlingham…how it made a frightening noise but the old people were calm, they knew about the Rainbow Serpent who lived in the river, they had heard the story from the old people who came before them. They also knew the Rainbow Serpent, for all its terrible force, brought an abundance of food – fish and eels. Pat was told this story by her father, Uncle Banjo Clarke.'
