A four-line 'vice-regal ditty' on the prospective return to New South Wales of Lieutenant-Colonel George Barney as Colonial Engineer. An article on this news follows the ditty. (In fact, Barney did not return as Colonial Engineer. He returned to the colonies to take up the position of superintendent of a new convict colony in North Australia, chooing to site it at Port Curtis.)
