Laurie Hergenhan takes issue with Kerryn Goldsworthy's review of Jill Roe's biography Stella Miles Franklin. Hergenhan contends that, while Goldsworthy found fault with Roe's 'exhaustive research', the depth of detail is one of the book's finest qualities.
