AbstractHistoryArchive Description
Set in a potter's colony in Eltham, Victoria, the narrative concerns Nick, a fugitive wanted for murder, who finds refuge in the home of sculptor and artist, Margot. They fall in love, but when a jealous rival informs the police of Nick's whereabouts and he is captured, Margot becomes despondent and subsequently kills herself.
Notes
-
Mangiamele's objective with the film was to explore Margot's subjective responses to Nick through camera work. He achieved this by creating a dreamlike atmosphere that makes the narrative somewhat vague and ambiguous.
