  • Author's note: 'And as I am a truthful man, I will swear that old 'crick' as we used to call it, hasn't changed a bit in the past 35 years - excepting that it contains even more debris than used to be the case.' 'Vigilant' in 'The Mercury' on the rivulet at the lower end of Collins St., Hobart.
