Notes

  • SP8 celebrates the life of Ian Fairweather (1891-1974). Fairweather illustrated and translated The Drunken Buddha [1965], wrote and sculpted and led an adventurous life. He lived on a beach in Darwin and travelled alone on a self-made craft all the way to Timor from where he was deported by Indonesian authorities. He found what he called his true home on Bribie Island and is rememebered there with Ian Fairweather Park.
