  • Author's note: Many of the Dreamtime legends show the male as dominant, strong, young men as protecors and hunters, wise, old men as leaders and decision-makers. Women, though treated with respect, generally appear in supportive but less influential roles. There are several legends, however, which show a different picture. This one comes from the traditional folklore of Western Australia.
