Author's note: In the Traditional period of Aboriginal history, the hunters often left the plains where they lived, to go hunting in the steep and dangerous mountain areas. There is a legend from the dreamtime which tells us about two young brothers who once went up into the northern Flinders Ranges of South Australia.
