AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Peter Craven argues that '[a]dult trash writing ... is for the child in all of us that wants a world of adventure'. He illustrates his argument with references to a range of Australian titles including Robbery Under Arms and The Mystery of the Hansom Cab, and later genre fiction such as the writing of Shane Maloney and Kerry Greenwood (qq.v.).
