Irina Dunn reports of the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival in Bali, held in October 2006. The festival featured one Australian writer, Gail Jones, and 14 other writers, predominantly from Asia. Dunn mentions that the NSW Writers' Centre has become a member of the Asia Pacific New Writing Partnership, which aims to promote the work of Australian writes in Asia, and Asian writers in Australia.
