  • From the Foreword by Marisa Cano: 'In 1995, the Liverpool Migrant Resource Centre, through its Multicultural Arts Officer, Rosarela Meza, received a grant from the NSW Writers' Centre to run a series of poetry workshops targeting mainly - but not exclusively - NESB people representative of this multi-ethnic geographical area. This first round of workshops was so successful that a second - and longer - round was organised and funded for 1996. Always in mind was the aim of, one day, publishing an anthology that would showcase a selection of the work produced' (3).
