The Late Mr. Samuel Cook, single work obituary
'Full of humour as of years, there passed quietly away on Saturday morning one of the most distinguished figures in the journalistic circles of the Commonwealth. For over half a century Mr. Samuel Cook filled various responsible positions in the offices of the "Sydney Morning Herald" and "Sydney Mail," and was general manager for about 20 years prior to his retirement in 1907.'
