Sir Lionel Lindsay in his autobiography, Comedy of Life (Angus & Robertson, Sydney, 1968), tells how he illustrated O'Ferrall's verses of 'Chunder Loo' for a series of advertisements which appeared in the Sydney Bulletin some time after 1903, & that the "blacking" company later printed a book from these advertisements & "gave me nothing".'
