Story told in rhyme accompanied by detailed illustrations in which the Sri Lankan, 'Chunder Loo' of 'Akim Foo', and his companion 'the bear' (a koala) travel around Australia and the world promoting 'Cobra' boot polish.

Marcie Muir's Australian Children's Books: a bibliography: volume one 1974-1972 (1992) comments: 'Each page comprises a b/w illustration with a verse beneath. Sir Lionel Lindsay in his autobiography, Comedy of Life (Angus & Robertson, Sydney, 1968), tells how he illustrated O'Ferrall's verses of 'Chunder Loo' for a series of advertisements which appeared in the Sydney Bulletin some time after 1903, & that the "blacking" company later printed a book from these advertisements & "gave me nothing".'
