AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Salusinszky argues that the imposition of a research paradigm on the humanities (in order to attract funding from bodies such as the Australian Research Council) has led to 'sterile and boring' work being done. He suggests that liberal arts scholars 'should do themselves, scientists and taxpayers a service by baling out of this system. Because the more they succumb to it, the further they drift from the humanities.'
