(p. 214)David Martin refers to a brief comment published in The News and Book Trade Review and Stationers' Gazette, 3 March 1947. The original comment, under the heading 'Travellers' Form' with the byline 'Vigiliante', referred to the plot of Tiger Bay. Martin claims the comment misrepresented his novel.
