Eve's cancer can't be cured. As she faces the prospect of death, she writes a series of letters to fix some of the mistakes she has made in her past. But she only posts one - to Carl. And when he comes back from the other side of the world for her, not yet knowing her fate, they are forced to face the awful truth. As Eve moves towards death, she enters a realm that allows her personal transformation. Carl is left in the real world, faced with losing his one true love, and with no idea how to make meaning of this. Will he too find a moment of transcendence? Or will he be left behind, hovering aimlessly over something that no longer exists?
