The Jarrabin Trilogy was written by Hewett in 1996 as three connected, but self- contained plays. With Dorothy Hewett's approval and support, John Clark adapted Hewett's original trilogy into one play, with music composed and performed by Terence Clarke.
'Hewett's play is the story of three generations of people who live in a small, Western Australian wheat-belt town, "twenty miles east of the rabbit-proof fence ...at the arse end of the universe." It is a warm, funny, sad, compassionate and provocative view of Australian history from Gallipoli to Vietnam.' (NIDA press release)
