AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The gift print of cranes by Japanese artist Ogata Korin survives the fall of its frame, whose glass splinters into fragments as painful and dangerous as the giver's broken marriage. The writer's ruby ring (engagement ring?) signals the stop of the relationship. The cranes 'stride on,' unchanging art.
