AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Stella Lees and Pam McIntyre's The Oxford Companion to Australian Children's Literature (1993): 386-387 comments that the novel 'is set in the 1974 Queensland floods. Peter and Melanie Griffith are left in the charge of their 16-year-old sister Janni. Together with Janni's boyfriend Don they survive the floods and solve a mystery, earning themselves a reward in the process.'
