Modified edition of S.W. Silver & Co.'s Australian Grazier's Guide, originally published 1879 (Ferguson 15698), and of: S.W. Silver & Co.'s Australian Grazier's Guide no.II- Cattle, originally published 1881 (Ferguson 15701).

This work is an important addition to Colonial Literature as it contains information relevant to Australian social and economic history. The author relates his experience as a sheep-farmer in Australia and offers practical hints to intending settlers including advice to those who propose to try their fortune as stock-raisers in other countries.
The book is an important source for writers who wish to demonstrate the truth of the difficulties of outback country life experienced by the characters in their works of fiction.
