Scope includes articles on literary topics, short pieces on news, comments and notes on music and sport. Contributors include Arthur H. Adams, C. J. Brennan, John Le Gay Brereton, George Lambert, Ambrose Pratt, Roderick Quinn, D. H. Souter and 'Ishmael Dare'.
Issues include short homilies by H. Knight Wilford and the regular column 'Golf Notes' by 'The Pro'. Short pieces of commentary, prose, gossip, Rugby Union and cricket reports, and reviews are collected under the heading 'Time hath a wallet at his back, in which he putteth alms for oblivion'.
The last page of 6 July issue contains the 'Prospectus of the Australian Magazine, Publishing & Printing Company, Limited' and a 'Form of Application for Shares'. Directors were Lambert, Pratt, Souter, R. F. Irvine and Richard Croft.
