The central character is Rosa, torn between her current lover, Antonio, and her past lover, Anoli, who she blinded in a fit of rage some years ago. Between this love triangle and an imported, generations-old Vendetta from homeland Italy, this is a distressing slice of loneliness, revenge, love and violence from the voice of newly immigrated settlers."
