In this letter to the editor, Meston as Queensland Protector of Aborigines affirms against the Rev. J. L. Mathew that Kendall obtained the word, 'Uloola,' used in one of his poems, from Aboriginal languages associated with the Clarence River, a district where he lived for many years.
