Lady Anna, Anthony Trollope , single work novel
Trollope describes the novel thus: 'A young girl, who is really a lady of high rank and great wealth, though in her youth she enjoyed none of the priveleges of wealth and rank, marries a tailor who had been good to her, and whom she loved when she was poor and neglected' (An Autobiography). Trollope wrote Lady Anna en route from Liverpool to Melbourne and the novel ends with the emigration of Lady Anna and her husband to Australia. (Sadleir)
