Notes:
In the Wide Domain anthology, The first line is "Land of Forests..." whereas in the Margins anthology, the first line is "Land of Forrests..." It is likely that the pun on the Forrest family was deliberate. It was published in The Sunday Times on 4 June 1899 (sighted) with the spelling as "Forrests". The author was not stated. The slightly earlier publication in the Kalgoorlie Sun has not been sighted, as yet.
