The poems are in six sections: those from Moreton Miles; from 'The Voice of Desire' [presumably unpublished]; from Love Redeemed; Miscellaneous; from A Wreath (M. F. W.); and 'Life's Testament'. The poems are untitled, although the section entitled Life's Testament contains forty-one poems numbered consecutively from I to XLI.

Author's note: I have observed some sort of chronological order in the different subjects, though not a strict one. This, although it made it necessary to open the book with mattter less formed, seemed the best arrangement in a collection of this kind. The selection is limited. I have included none of my longer pieces. Again, many of my later manuscripts are abroad. A number of my books, too, are not procurable, and I have no copies by me. But the book is, I think, sufficiently representative to enable the reader to form an opinion of my work in verse. W. B.
