Davina B. Woods, BEd, Dip-Teach, was born in Brisbane, Queensland. She has spent much of her adult life working and teaching in education. Her experience as a member of the Stolen Generation and her search for her family's place in the world have influenced her wish to became a primary school teacher and her plans to lecture in Aboriginal Studies.
