BiographyHistory

Script-writer and script and story editor.

Liz Doran's earliest scripts were for inner-city adult drama The Secret Life of Us, for which she wrote several episodes between 2002 and 2005; during this same period, she worked on the four-part anthology series Love Bytes (2004), which explored dating in the digital age, and short-lived supernatural drama The Alice (2005).

In 2006, she contributed scripts to British teen drama Sugar Rush, but her subsequent work has all been on Australian television dramas: McLeod's Daughters (2008), Carla Cametti PD (2009), Rescue Special Ops (2009), and Dance Academy (2010-2012).

Her most recent scripts have been for Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (2012).

Doran has also worked as a story editor (on Dance Academy), script consultant (on 2003 crime drama Gettin' Square, written by Chris Nyst and directed by Jonathan Teplitzky), and script editor (on 2008 crime drama The Square, written by Joel Edgerton and Matthew Dabner, and directed by Nash Edgerton).
