BiographyHistory

Danny Katz, who came to Australia as a child, has worked as a stand-up comic and as a columnist for the Age and the West Australian. He has written readers for children in the Just Kids series from Pearson Education Australia and is also the author of Spit the Dummy (1999), a humorous book on parenting.

In July 2009 a comic book, Dr Dave, written by Katz and illustrated by Mitch Vane (q.v.) was launched. The comic book was created to help children undergoing radiotherapy. Commissioned by the Peter Mac Cancer Centre in Victoria, the comic gained interest from international centres and was made available on desktop publishing software enabling customising for other hospitals.
