Jeanette Grant-Thomson is a writer and teacher living in Brisbane. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (UQ) and is an Associate of the Trinity College of London (Speech and Drama teaching).

Grant-Thomson began publishing in the 1950s: between 1954 and 1970, she published a number of short prose pieces and poems in various periodicals and newspapers, including the Brisbane Telegraph, Semper Floreat, and the Australian. From 1965 to 1967, she wrote drama and film criticism for Semper Floreat, and in 1968 participated in the Sydney Underground Films movement, writing, directing, and editing the short film In an Onion, which depicted a neurotic love affair.

In the 1980s, she wrote feature articles for Teen Challenge newsletter and articles in Evangel magazine.

Her short works have continued to be published in various small magazines and anthologies.
