BiographyHistory

Jane Jolly grew up in Henley Beach, South Australia. She studied at Torrens College of Advanced Education to become a primary school teacher, graduating in 1976. She taught at Koonibba Aboriginal School and in 1983 worked as a governess on Commonwealth Hill Station. Jolly lives at Strathalbyn , South Australia, has one daughter, three stepchildren, and four grandchildren. She continues to teach full time, and writes in her spare time.
