BiographyHistory

Lyn Hatherly completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Monash University during the 1980s majoring in English and Classics. She has taught poetry in varied environments including a period at James Cook University and has been the editor of Poetry Monash. She is also the author of Sappho's Sweetbitter Songs: Configurations of Female and Male in Ancient Greek Lyric (1996). Hatherly edited Small Clay Birds (1988), a book of poetry by Anne Elder (q.v.).
