BiographyHistory

Tardent was a linguist, journalist and horticulturist. In the 1920s he was a columnist with Queensland Society Magazine, writing literary, historical and biographical items as well as a regular horticultural column. He also wrote the essay In Freedom's Cause : Australia's Contribution to the World War (1923), which was awarded First prize at the Maryborough Eisteddfod in 1922.
