BiographyHistory

Norman Mailer was a well-known American novelist, journalist, essayist, poet, playwright, screenwriter and film director, who won the Pulitzer prize twice and the National Book Award once. He is considered to be one of the key figures in the development of creative non-fiction writing. His works Why Are We in Vietnam? and An American Dream were banned in Australia in 1968 and 1965 respectively.
