BiographyHistory

During her years in Australia Mordaunt contributed regularly to the Bulletin and the Lone Hand with a selection of these pieces published as Rosemary, That's for Remembrance. Her impressions of the state where she lived for nearly nine years are recorded in On the Wallaby through Victoria under her maiden name E. M. Clowes. Her early struggles to earn a living in Australia are described in the autobiography, Sinabada. In later years Mordaunt wrote prolifically, including over thirty novels and short fiction, and several accounts of her extensive travels in many remote places.
