BiographyHistory

A distinguished author with a career spanning more than thirty years, Penelope Lively has written more than forty books for children and adults.

Born in Cairo, Lively spent her early childhood in Egypt before moving to England at the age of twelve. Since relocating she appears to have remained UK-based throughout her life with more recent years spent living in London.
