  • J. M. Barrie's play Peter Pan was first performed in England on 27 December 1904. The play was followed by the story Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens (1906) illustrated by Arthur Rackham and by the play in book form in 1911. Australian illustrator Robert Ingpen (q.v.) illustrated an edition of the book published in 2004 by Walker Books to celebrate the centenary of the first public performance of Peter Pan.
