BiographyHistory

Makar Press was established in 1972 when it was decided that the fourth issue each year of the journal Makar would be replaced by a small book of verse in a series to be known as the Gargoyle Poets Series . Thirty-seven volumes were published in the series by 1980, under the editorship of Martin Duwell.
